From the hit game Five Nights at Freddy's, Foxy, as a 5" articulated vinyl action figure from Funko! Figure stands 5 inches and comes on a card with a window display box. Check out the other Five Nights at Freddy's figures from Funko! Collect all five Nights at Freddy's 5" articulated action figures to create Spring Trap - Funko's first build-a-figure!
I purchased the 5 figures (still waiting on Chica which contains the final piece to build Spring Trap) and my son loves them! Reading some other reviews, I noticed complaints about how they fall apart. The thing is, is that these are labeled as COLLECTABLE ACTION FIGURES which obviously means they are intended to stay in the box because 99.9% of the time, most collectable action figures contain small pieces and should remain packaged for display, not played with. If you plan on playing with them, then yes, pieces fall off, but you can snap them back into place (like a barbie). I don't recommend kids under 4 play with them due to the small pieces. I received the items in a nice crisp box and the action figures look remarkable! Perfect for any FNAF collector!
Firstly and most importantly, these figures are definitely not playthings. It even says, "Not a toy" on the back of the box, so they're not durable enough to withstand play. The material they're made of also has a certain tact to it, so I could see them picking up dirt and grime really easily.
That aside, the figure itself is quite cool! The sculpt is near perfect and the material it's made out of is a lot like the Funko Pop figures, so it has a nice color quality to it. However, the paint job could be better. Seems a bit unrefined on mine and the grunge effect kind of looks unintentionally dirty rather than as an intended 'worn' look. It still is acceptable, though I would've rather he didn't have as much of the grime paint.
Also worth mentioning, despite the picture, his eye patch doesn't flip up. peeking through the side, it looks as though the eye beneath is unpainted, so it seems like it was probably a quality control decision, given how tiny the hinge would need to be.
Not the highest quality collector figure I've had, but still well made and looks good, despite being a little rough around the edges. Good for a slightly older collector and fan of the series and characters, as long as you're not TOO picky about absolute perfection.
Break them down and rebuild them..Poseable and yes they stand on their own.. can even mix parts with others.. cool thing is it comes with one part of another that you get with each in the series to build a complete separate new one..
My grandy loved it.. I am the coolest mimi on the planet.
Just make sure you buy from the same set..regular, nightmare, funtime, phantom etc.. yeah there seems to be a bazillion different takes on these characters.. play the video game..silly but makes you jump. Packages complete,
came quickly and boxed well. And yes they sometimes fall apart easy (hands etc) as they are handled..THATS THE POINT TO THE Video GAME.. the animatronic require constant care and upkeep and sometimes they just disappear and you have to find them.. My grandy keeps them in a box fully together before putting them away after play.. still going strong ! And she plays with them daily. Now she wants the other sets too.. oh boy...
Thank you so much.
Really detailed, the "joints" are ball and socket so its easy for kids to take apart and put back on their own.
Sturdy, small things like the ears and foxys hook havent broken off.
When positioned, he can stand on his own and be posed in many ways.
I wouldn't recommend it for small children who are still prone to putting things in their mouths as the removable parts do pose a choking hazard.
*Side note* if you aren't familiar with the game Series this toy is based on, and are purchasing this for a child, you may want to do some research beforehand so you can make an informed purchase.
I just got him today so I will add more throughout having Foxy.
He's amazing! Just keep in mind be gentle taking him out of the packaging. Instead of ripping him out, cut some of the plastic that he's in so its easier.
Problem: I noticed while playing with him, his left arm has a cracked shoulder joint. While he's not fully broken, it made his arm sort of flimsy.
Solution: Get hot glue or super glue on a toothpick and gently rub it on the broken joint, and if theres also a crack on the other side, apply a little there too. And then softly squeeze it together, so it doesn't look like a crack appears to be there. Any large amounts of acsess, wipe off!
Springtrap's head and torso is so cool and makes me want to buy the others!
In conclusion, this is an amazing toy! I just reccomend your rather gentle with this toy then hard, and rough.
